So, I have read that synthetics will let the synchros slip (thin oil). So, has anyone used a dual blend of synthetics

I've had my 64 Spit for several years. Just recently I have made it my daily driver. I installed a new clutch, slave cylinder and a rebuilt transmission.
1st and 2nd gear work just fine and sometimes so do 3rd and 4th. But sometimes 3rd and 4th will slip if I give the engine to much gas. The RPM go up but no
speed is gained. If I accelerate slowly its fine. How can I fix this? What should I check first?
