			<description><![CDATA[ I took some of the advice from this forum and decided to rewire my 72 from scratch. Got a lot of it done so far (With a few blown fuses), but I&#39;m stumped
on what goes where on the back of the fuel and temp guages. There are only two terminals on each, bit neither is marked to voltage stabalizer or to sending
unit. My guages are Smiths, but the Jeagers that I have are also unmarked. I think polarity would matter in a DC circut like these and don&#39;t want to risk
frying the guages before... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I am putting in a new aftermarket alternator into my gt6 mk1. Problem is how to connect it correctly. There are 2 wires on the wiring loom which lead to the
alternator a big brown one and a brown/yellow one. On the used plug I got with the new alternator the are 3 wires: A big brown one and a thinner brown/yellow
and a brown/blue wire. So the thick brown one goes to the battery as it is the charging line. The brown/yellow goes to the ignition light . But where is the

			<description><![CDATA[ Helping a newbie with his recently acquired Mk III. Recently, his ignition light has come on and will not go off. The battery is getting a charge; he has
driven for many weeks with the light on. I am wondering if it is a malfunction with the voltage regulator. I&#39;m really not sure how this feedback system
works. It appears to be ignition switch to light to voltage regulator, so I assume the voltage regulator (via amount of voltage being generated by the system)

that impressed with the original connecter&#39;s that Triumph used. Not to mention that after 35 years some of that stuff is just worn out. So was wondering if

			<description><![CDATA[ Have had my 75 for about 18 months now and have been methodically replacing parts &amp; assemblies from the ground up. I guess you could call the proejct a
rolling restoration. While recently converting to an electric fan, I began digging round underneath the dashboard and have found the the PO (a caterpillar
mechanic) had basically cut of all the original wiring and has rewired most of the circuits, bypassing the starter relay, Smith&#39;s module, etc. Everything

			<description><![CDATA[ Hey guys I have a 64 MK1.  Two nights ago my brake lights, turn signals, temp and fuel gauge all quit working.  The brake lights will come on when the
headlights are on but they will not brighten when the brake pedal is pressed.  What would make those 4 things go out together?  Where does the problem lie and
how can I fix it?  I&#39;m a newbie to Spitfires so any help is appreciated.

I am putting the engine back together on a 1978 that I&#39;m restoring, and I&#39;ve noticed that the shaft through the distributor has some significant
run-out.  I&#39;m not sure if it was that way previously (it was barely runable anyway when I took possession of it) or if I did that while attempting to
remove the dog pin at the bottom.  The shaft is bent to the point that the gap between the pickup and the triggers varies by 20-25 thousands, and I can feel it

The ignition switch was acting funny when turning to the start position (Not wanting to return to run) then stopped energizing the starter.
<br>
On top of this, even in the off position, the ignition is still hot.
<br>
The detents don&#39;t seem to be there anymore.
<br>
Is this a common failure?
<br>
The car is a 71 GT-6
<br>
Is the mechanical part of the switch separate from the key?
<br>
I mean, could a link have slipped or broken?

			<description><![CDATA[ I recently replaced my dead generator on my mk.3 with Delco alternator which runs and charges beautifully, but since installing it I have massive leeching on
the battery when the car is off. I used my voltometer to determine that my alternator circuit is drawing 12v with the ignition off, but when I tested the
diodes they seemed to be fine. Does anyone have any insight as to what the problem may be or at least what I should try to figure it out? ]]></description>

Little Red still not firing, and I can see that the issue (I think) is that there is no power to the positive side of the coil.

Measuring the voltage on my Triumph sedan, I can see that I need to be able to feed 6V to the coil.  Looking at the manual, it appears that power has to go
from the ignition to the coil through what is termed a &quot;Ballast resistor&quot;.
